Privacy Policy

Version 1.2 — Last updated 2 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Timarry SARL (registered at Kipé, Conakry, Republic of Guinea — "noBrainer", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the noBrainer mobile application (the "Service"). It applies alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: email address, authentication identifiers from Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, display name (if provided).
  • Household profile: household composition (number and age ranges of adults and children), pets, dietary preferences, cuisines you like, cooking time, planning preferences, and any other information you enter during onboarding or in settings.
  • Usage of the Service: meals you accept, skip, swap, or adapt; grocery list interactions; notes; daily routine information.
  • Device information: operating system, device model, app version, language, time zone, and crash diagnostics.
  • Subscription information: via our payment processor (RevenueCat, working with Apple App Store and Google Play), we receive the status of your subscription (active, trialing, canceled, expired) and renewal date. We do not receive your full payment card or banking details.

Dietary preferences are personal preferences, not health data. noBrainer is not a medical or health-tracking application. We treat the dietary information you enter (such as "vegan," "no-nuts," "no-gluten") as personal preferences used to filter meal suggestions, not as data concerning your health under Article 9 of the GDPR or as protected health information under HIPAA. If you have a medical condition that affects what you can eat, you must consult a qualified medical or nutrition professional and not rely on the Service. Do not enter clinical diagnoses, prescriptions, or other health information into the app.

2. How We Collect It

  • Directly from you when you create an account, complete onboarding, or use the Service;
  • Automatically from your device when the app runs (basic device and usage data);
  • From Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In when you authenticate;
  • From RevenueCat / Apple / Google when your subscription status changes.

3. Why We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Service — generate meal suggestions and grocery lists tailored to your household;
  • To personalize suggestions over time as you accept, skip, or swap meals;
  • To operate authentication, billing, and customer support;
  • To diagnose crashes and improve performance and reliability;
  • To improve our models and the Service using anonymized and aggregated data;
  • To send transactional notifications (subscription status, account changes) and, with your consent, meal-suggestion notifications;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Sub-Processors & Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to deliver the Service. Each receives only the data needed for its function, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With the sub-processors listed above, strictly to operate the Service;
  • To comply with valid legal process or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others;
  • In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, asset sale), in which case the recipient is bound by privacy commitments at least as protective as this Policy.

6. Retention

We retain your information while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove your data from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, accounting records related to payments).

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Delete your information (you can also do this from Settings → Delete account);
  • Export your information in a machine-readable format;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR. Our legal bases for processing are: (a) performance of our contract with you (delivering the Service); (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service; (c) your consent for optional features such as push notifications; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) including the right to know, delete, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Opting out of model improvement. If you do not want anonymized and aggregated information derived from your account to be used to improve our models or the Service, you may object at any time by emailing privacy@ai-no-brainer.com with the subject line "Opt out of model improvement." We will honor your objection within 30 days. Opting out does not affect your use of the Service or its core features.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@ai-no-brainer.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly create accounts for children. Household profiles created by adults may contain non-identifying information about children in the household — specifically, an age range (for example, "3–5 years") and high-level dietary needs — entered by the responsible adult to tailor meal suggestions.

Do not enter personally identifying information about a minor (including a child's full name, exact birth date, photograph, contact information, school, address, or medical diagnosis). We do not request, intend to collect, or use such information, and entering it is a breach of the Terms of Service. If you have entered such information, contact privacy@ai-no-brainer.com and we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us at the same address and we will delete it promptly. We do not knowingly process personal information from children in a manner that would trigger the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR's Article 8 protections for child data, or analogous laws.

9. Security

We protect information in transit using TLS, and at rest using industry-standard encryption provided by our hosting and database providers. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our safeguards.

10. International Data Transfers

noBrainer operates from the Republic of Guinea and uses sub-processors located in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via in-app notice or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
